The MD-271 Portable TV Media Player 500GB is part of Sitecom’s Smart Living Line, which was developed from a non-technical perspective with the focus on the needs of end users. The concept of user-friendliness is fully applied from packaging, to product features and services offered. The MD-271 comes equipped with all necessary accessories so that the user can start enjoying the device right away. The Mini USB 2.0 port makes it easy to connect the Portable TV Media Player to the computer via the included USB Y-connection cable and copy the desired videos, photos and music to the device. Once connected to the TV through the included HDMI-cable, the user can enjoy the stored media content on his TV in full HD quality. Older TVs that don’t support full HD can be connected with the included composite cable for video and stereo audio. The intuitive menu can be accessed easily with the included remote control and makes it easy to find, select and play the media files, even for inexperienced users. To transport the Portable TV Media Player safely, Sitecom also includes a protective carrying pouch.
Media Formats and storage
Besides popular media formats such as MP3 for music, JPG for photos and MPG for movies, the MD-271 Portable TV Media Player 500GB also supports a series of other media formats. Support of video formats like MKV, Xvid, DivX and AVI, audio formats like AC3, FLAC and WMA and picture formats like GIF, TIFF and PNG make the full spectrum of digital entertainment available to the user. Furthermore, the MD-271 is able to read the menus of DVDs and structure of Blu-ray in so-called ISO files and supports audio playback in Dolby Digital and DTS 2.0. The 500GB hard disk offers enough room for up to 125 hours of high-definition video, 500 hours of standard video, 178 movies, 125.000 4-min songs or 250 games.

The integrated 500GB high-performance hard disk is especially equipped for travelling with the industry-best protection against bumps and rough handling with 400G operating shock/1000G non-operating shock. Moreover, the quiet, nearly inaudible operation warrants a richer audio experience for music, movies and games. The 500GB hard disk also comes equipped with Enhanced Availability to provide high performance, capacity, and durability for around-the-clock operation.
